EXPEDITION 27

Expedition 27. 10 DAYS.10 TRIPS.

Ten days of building, testing and explaining ideas in English—with Greater Taipei as our classroom.

Recommended ages 8–12 · 09:00–17:30 · Beitou base

A FAMILIAR CITY. AN ENTIRELY NEW PERSPECTIVE.YOUR ADVENTURE STARTS HERE

THE WORLD OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW

The world beyond the classroom

Parks, pottery, railways, the coast and the hills: each destination becomes a place to learn about the world. New settings and new questions help children think for themselves and find answers through observation, making and exploration.

Choose a place. Start exploring.

Reveal the colours as you explore. Choose a number to discover the day.

Ten places. Ten new ways to look.

Illustrated locations · not a navigation map. The finale route depends on conditions.

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL PRACTISE

Think like a scientist. Explain discoveries in English.

Choose a heading to see three examples.

The expedition passport records children’s predictions, measurements and sketches, turning the observations and thinking from each exploration into a visible record of learning.

Make something. Go and see it differently.

Every day’s exploration begins with a question.

Children set out with curiosity and find answers, step by step, through observation, experiments and hands-on exploration.

A small boat gets children asking, “Why do some things float?” A piece of clay helps them discover how materials change their shape and properties.

See what your child discovers each day

What did your child investigate today? What did they test? What did they discover?

Every day, we put together a learning update: the questions children are thinking about, the things they tried and the discoveries they made. You’ll see more than where they went—you’ll see how they observed, how they thought and what they came to understand.

At home, a simple “What did you discover today?” can keep that day’s learning going.

A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you join us.

Is this the right camp for my child?

The recommended age range is 8–12. It is an English-medium, hands-on programme with full days and travel between locations. Use the enquiry form or LINE to share your child’s age, language experience and comfort with outings so we can discuss the fit.

How do children travel?

Most outings use public transport with the teachers. Families top up each child’s EasyCard. A coach is planned for the final day; final arrangements will be shared with families.

What if the weather changes?

We may adjust visits and activities for conditions. The final Qixingshan-area outing is weather-dependent, with a lower-risk nature route or an indoor science alternative if needed. Venue-specific alternatives are being finalised.

Can we choose a few days?

Expedition 27 is one connected ten-day programme. Each investigation contributes to the passport and final map, so individual-day and partial packages are not offered.

How do we book, and what are the payment terms?

Send the camp enquiry form below or contact us on LINE. We’ll explain availability and the registration process. STEAM SQUAD must receive payment by 5 December 2026 to confirm the early-bird price. Submitting an enquiry alone does not secure the early-bird price. See the camp participation notes below for cancellation, refund and insurance information.

Camp participation notes

Health & safety

Parents must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies and medication. While we maintain high safety standards, outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Camp fees include travel accident and accident medical insurance.

How we form groups

Stepping outside the comfort zone: to support teaching quality and practical social learning, the teaching team assigns groups with a balance of students’ personalities.

Growth through collaboration: we encourage students to step outside their social comfort zones and practise communication and problem-solving with new friends from different backgrounds.

Code of conduct

Students are expected to follow their teachers’ guidance and respect other participants. If a student’s behaviour persistently disrupts activities or raises safety concerns, we reserve the right to require the student to leave camp without a refund.

Personal belongings

Students are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend leaving expensive electronics and jewellery at home. STEAM SQUAD is not liable for lost or damaged personal belongings.

Photos & videos

We take photos and videos during camp for documentation and marketing. If you do not want your child’s image to be used, please notify us in writing before camp begins.

Itinerary changes

We reserve the right to modify the itinerary due to weather, safety considerations or other circumstances beyond our control. All changes will prioritise students’ best interests and safety.
